I missed the green pills, is it ok?

Hello. I recently started taking generess fe for birth control. My first time. It says that after taking the light green pills for seven days in a row you do not need to use back up bc. On day eight the condom broke. So I do not need to seek out a plan b method?

Yes, there is no requirement for you to take those green pills.

Those green pills are placebos; they do not have any hormones. They are kept in the pack to maintain a continuation of using the birth pills. As some people, cannot maintain a proper cycle of using the birth pills, they tend to forget especially the last week of pills is a pill free period and no pills are taken. As the rhythm is not maintained they tend to forget and cycle gets disrupted.

So its fine and you have nothing to worry about even if you have skipped the green pills. But, make sure you start the next cycle properly.
