Inguinal hernia

Resolved question:
Hi,

My name is Aasim Pathan, I am 26 years old & i am morbidly obese, I weigh over 150 Kgs. In the pass few months my Pubic area has been increasing in size, it is not painful but discomforting when i walk.

When i lie down the bulge disappears or atleast i think it does, when i am standing thats when its more prominent. I am afraid its hernia and would just like to confirm it and my options for correcting it.

I will attach some picture i took myself from my phone.

Sorry there is a limit of 5 attachments only, so I am uploading to another site, below is the link.

Hi
Thank you for posting at Doctor spring.

A swelling that is seen on standing and disappearing in lying down posture can be Hernia.

In your case, it looks like fat deposit.

Simple investigation like Ultrasound will confirm the diagnosis.
If it is Hernia, it has to be repaired surgically. If it is fat deposit, you can get it removed by Liposuction.
Please reduce your weight.

Hope this helps, please feel free to discuss further.
Wish you good health.
