Hello,

Forced abortion using such folk medicine is not safe and never advised by physicians. Specifying the month of pregnancy in which abortion was done is important as with increasing months of pregnancy there is more risk of complications. Medical abortions without surgery are usually effective in early first trimester (usually before 3rd month of pregnancy) with approved drugs like RU-486 (Mifepristone) and Prostin injections (prostaglandins). In second trimester (after 3rd month) usually surgical methods are preferred. And abortion after 20 weeks is not advised unless in cases of major abnormalities in fetus.

Using unapproved medicines for abortion may result in incomplete abortion, as remnants of placental tissues may be still attached to uterus and can cause abnormal bleeding. This can in turn lead to sepsis when it leads to infection spreading through blood which can be dangerous and fatal if not treated promptly. Chemicals released locally in such cases can cause persistent contractions of uterus. I suggest you to immediately see a Gynecologist and get evaluated properly. Careful examination and Ultrasound scanning will reveal any abnormal remnants and can be removed. Further treatment is necessary based on your clinical condition.

Hope this will help you. Do get back to me if you have any further questions.
