Lump inside foot with numbness, cold sensation. Treatment?

Resolved question:
Hi! I've been having a strange issue with my left foot. I'll start to feel like there is a lump inside my foot between my third and fourth today, and with a bit of numbness/cold sensation in those toes. It is painful to walk on, but typically goes away in an hour or so. A few hours later, I'll have a large bruise on the top of my foot and extending down my fourth toe. This has happened 8-10 times in the past 3 months. I am a runner, but the first few times it happened were immediately after getting out of bed in the morning. The past few times it has been mid-day. (The second picture is how the bruise is looking later in the day today.)

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have read your query with diligence .
It looks from your detail that you may have A march fracture in your foot .The pain and the bruise issue may be due to this. You should have an X-Ray of foot to rule out this stress fracture in your foot.At this time I will advice to avoid heavy activities & keep your limb elevated on a pillow to have relief. This may need a supportive cast or splint for relief on confirmation.
Hope this was helpful,
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.
Hope his will help you.

Thank you for your response! A stress fracture does make sense I suppose. Today it is slightly tender if I press on the top of my foot, but does not hurt to walk on at all. Is this typical of a stress fracture?

Yes,sometime presentation is with less pain.x ray will be helpful specially within next 2weeks.Within this duration it may show callus or healing bone.
