Hello, Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring.com. You seem to have an infection in the vagina, moslty - 'yeast infection', medically know as 'Vaginal Candidiasis'. There is no need for alarm or anxiety. Since the presence of blood is not typical of Candidiasis other causes like cervicitis should be considered if the symptoms are persisting even after treatment. The treatment may be obtained over the counter depending on your location. Usually a vaginal cream or suppository like Terazol or Monistat is used. I recommend you to discuss the issue with your family Doctor and then proceed.The best way find out if you have a yeast infection is to see your doctor or nurse. He or she can run a swab (Q-tip) inside your vagina. Then, he or she can look at the cells from the swab under a microscope and look for the fungus that causes yeast infections. Depending on your situation, your doctor or nurse might do other tests, too. Also note - Vaginal yeast infections are not a sexually transmitted infection, although the infection may rarely be passed from one partner to another. In your particular case other infections should also needs to ruled out due to the blood discharge.
