Milky white discharge with UTI, VAGISIL. HERPES?

Resolved question:
I am in need of assistance. I recently came into contact with someone with herpes. I went to the emergency room 2 days later out of concern and was told I was fine as there were no lesions to be seen. I did however have a UTI. After UTI medication was taken symptoms (itch, burn) receded. I soon noticed a milky white discharge and assumed I had a yeast infection. My period came and seemed symptoms cleared until a day later the discharge was back. I took a monistat 1 and and vagisil.... Vagisil burned like no other and soon my skin was drying and peeling all over and it was red. Stopped using it. The monistat I noticed I had abdominal pain afterwards and slight bleeding which was bright red. (I apologize for bein so detailed) anyway I noticed I had small cuts in the opening of my vagina.... One I had accidentally created myself from stretching too hard (I have pictures) I am wondering if I have possibly contacted herpes and it's coming up as other possible infections? (Between my Uti discovery and this incident it's been about a month)

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com

I checked the pictures and herpes could be a possibility. These are erosions which are closely grouped together.

Usually a history of fluid filled blisters in clusters is given by the patient which is absent in your case, however looking at the erosions, herpes is a possibility.

It would be best to visit your doctor who can re examine you and give you a course of valacyclovir.

Application of mupirocin cream will be helpful. It will provide soothing effect.

Please let me know if you have any queries.

Take care
Regards.

After recieving your response I completely cleared of any and all symptoms i previously mentioned. The cuts ( one caused by me and the other im still unsure of) have healed and no scars...like it never happened. I am however in the process of making an appointment with my doctor. Now I am unsure of how long a herpes episode lasts without medication and if it would clear up after taking medications for yeast infection. is that possible? I just want to be clear when i do see my doctor.

Hello

Thanks for your reply.

Herpes can clear up on its own without
medication. But it wouldn't clear after taking yeast medications.

Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.
