MODERATELY DIFFERENTIATED ADENOCARCINOMA IN GASTRIC BIOPSY. Treatment.

Resolved question:
Hello, I have had Histology report taken from a Gastric wedge resection operation performed Laprascopically 6 weeks ago. The conclusion, GASTRIC WEDGE EXCISION BIOPSY - ULCERATED, MODERATELY DIFFERENTIATED ADEMOCARCINOMA, COMPLETELY EXCISED AS ABOVE. The surgeon and an Oncologist has told me that I HAVE Gastric cancer now and the only option is to have a complete Gastrectomy asap preceded and followed by intensive Chemotherapy. No evidence has been found of any Metastatic or Lymph node spreading. No options or other treatment plans have been offered. Please advise my best course of action. Thank you. Alvin

Hello
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com

You have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Rate control with dilzem is an option. However rhythm control with amiodarone would be a better option in your case. Dilzem is usually contraindicated if heary rate is below 60 pm. But you have intelligently monitored your heart rate and so in your case it may be taken upto heart rates of 50 to 55 per min. Discontinue below 55 till it picks to 60 to 65 per min. Permanent af ablation would be a good option for you.

Feel free to discuss further,
Regards
