Open sore with raised rim in anus without pain.

Resolved question:
I had this open sore for a few months, first noticed it at about 1.5mm inside diameter, and now it is larger at 3.5mm inside diameter. the rim is slightly raised(maybe swollen effect since its an open wound?), and is located 1cm from my anus. i had no feeling from it until recently, when I just started feeling as something is there, but no pain or discomfort. it does not bleed or leak anything at any time, except occasionally when I wipe after going to the bathroom. 2 weeks ago i tried cleaning with alcohol once a day, which led to no change in the situation.

can you identify this, tell me what i should do, and what a doctor might do if i went in for an in-person visit?

Hi Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I saw the pic.
In my opinion, the first possibility is a Fistula in ano.It should have communication into the Anal canal. As it is very close to anal opening, the fistulous tract can be removed easily and completely under Anaesthesia.
Second possibility is a ruptured boil.
As it is present since few months,Fistula in ano should be excluded.
You should consult a General surgeon. Usually, I do a Per rectal examination to identify an Internal opening which communicates from this external opening. If it is not felt,I will pass a thin Probe from the external opening. If it is fistula, then the probe passes smoothly and comes from the internal opening .If Fistula is confirmed, Surgery has to be planned to remove the fistulous tract. The same procedure will be followed by any General surgeon.
There are no medicines for Fistula in ano
Nothing to worry.
It will come down.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
