Pain in legs after surgery years old patientbefore for fracture.

Resolved question:
Hello I had a severe car accident a while ago and I broke both legs my thigh and foot. I had several surgeries including removing the hardware and the pain improved to just minor aches and flare ups in the winter. As the years old patienthave gone by the pain has worsened and it keeps me from doing a lot of things. I am starting to get depressed about it as I am only 33 years old patientold. Is this normal for the pain to come back?

Hello.
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have read your query with diligence.
It looks that you are one of the brave man who have gone through such complicated surgeries.Having pain after surgeries is a common thing & after surgery for fixing bone & removing plates there may be incomplete recovery of proper power if you do not do guided exercises. These exercises does help in improving muscles strength & its gliding over united bone.
If you are having recurring pain then there are some factors which you should see-
-Are bones united well i.e.presence of wrong union or malunion?
-Do you have associated other factors like deficiency of vitamin D,vitamin B complex, calcium ,etc?
-Are you anemic?
-Is there lack of sleep?
-Are you doing routine exercises to keep yourself fit?
You should search for any of the above factors to check for reason for this pain?
Please have complete investigations to rule out anaemia & deficiency of vitamin B complex.
Feel free to discuss further,
Hope this all will help you.
With best wishes.
