Pain in vaginal tear without massive bleeding. Normal?

Resolved question:
I went to my doctor on Thursday due to vaginal tear on Sunday. She said that it should heal on it own through time since I didn't have massive bleeding. Just a few spots on a tissue when a went to clean myself. Is it still normal to feel pain?

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
If the pain is mild, that is understandable.
I understand that rough sex led to the tear ?
Give yourself a few more days.
Use lubricant if sexually active.
Do not use any special cream / soap / gel etc to clean yourself.
Just clean with lukewarm water.
You should be fine in a couple of days.
Avoid straddling / squatting fingering, and if possible - intercourse, till you heal completely. etc.
All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.

Yes the pain is mild, like a pinch once in a while. It's not unbearable, I only feel the pain for a second. It is from rough sex and I wasn't prepared for him to penetrate at that time. So when I shower I should just stick to using water instead of soap?

Yes, just stick to water.
And avoid rubbing or handling the area too much.
Just give it time and care.
It will be fine.
And use a lubricant next time ( KY jelly is a good option ).
WIsh you good luck always.

Ok. One last question. Does plan b cause depression or anxiety? I've taken it on Monday and I still feel weird. Its my first time taking plan b. And I've never had birth control before

Expert:  Dr. Aarti Vazirani replied 2 Days.

Since you have never taken birth control, yes, you might feel some mood changes after Plan B.
It contains high level of hormones, and they can cause acute feelings of depression or anxiety.
But they would be short term, and out of your system within a week or two.
Please feel free to contact me at any point of time.
Wish you good health always !
