Pink color in semen with normal MRI, ULTRASOUND.

Resolved question:
Hi

4 months ago I saw very light pink color in my semen when passing stool. I immediately went to a urologist who asked for urine and blood tests and analysis for prostate. I have done all the analysis and result came negative. He also asked for an MRI and ultra sound and I have done them all and result was good.

then I did one urine text every week for 2 months and all came no blood.

Now I saw the same thing again in my semen when I pass stool so what I do now?

I do not have increased frequency for urination ,urgency, burning urination etc

No painful ejaculation?

I have done semen culture and result was negative.

I have done urine culture and result was negative.

I have done urine test and there was little blood in the urine.

I have also done Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen and Pelvis and result is good.

Please let me know.

Thanks

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
Blood in the semen is known as hematospermia. Hematospermia is usually caused by raised blood pressure or some infection. However, in some patients no cause can be identified. When no cause can be identified nothing needs to be done and there is nothing to worry about.
You should get your blood pressure checked at regular intervals and if found high, start treatment for the same. Nothing else needs to be done considering the fact that all other investigations of yours are normal.
Take care.
Sincerely

Thanks for the reply but I am really worried Dr.
I have some questions please reply to me.

where the semen is coming from especially when I am passing stool? I want to focus on one organ. I think is the prostate.

Does any sexual activities can cause even if it is not manikg actual sex.

Is thi not aa sign of any serious problem?
Do I need to do any analysis/imaging to know if there are any other issues.

Thanks a lot.

Dear Sir,
Whenever you strain to pass stool you can pass urethral secretions or secretions from prostate and they appear as semen.
Even masturbation can cause blood to appear in semen. Having blood in semen is not an indicator of any serious problem and one just needs to rule out high blood pressure.
You have already undegone all the investigations possible and nothing more is needed.
Take care.
Sincerely
