Pink lump on tip of tongue. Cause?

Resolved question:
I have a pink lump on the tip of my tongue I am wondering if I should be worried. I have had it for at least a couple years. I asked an ENT about it when I was there with my son 2 years ago and he said it isn't anything to worry about, but it is still there and I am becoming concerned.

I understand your concern.
I am one of the InHouse Physician and I reviewed the image that you sent. It is very blurry. Will you be able to send a high resolution image of the lump again? Or you can mail it to info@doctorspring.com

Hello

Thanks for posting your query.

I can understand your concern.

The lump seems to be a cyst. It appears benign on the photo but i would recommend that you get it removed from a doctor. Its best not to leave anything abnormal untreated. Sometimes such cysts can form over the mucosal layer, cause is unknown or idiopathic.

It would be best to visit a dermatologist who can examine it and then remove it out if required and send it for testing. But just by looking at it,it looks like a plain cyst.

Please let me know if you have any queries.

Take care
