Her report of Gastro Duodenoscopy does not show any abnormality.Chest X-Ray PA view report is normal. X-ray abdomen report shows Gaseous distension and fecal matter noted in large gut. TSH measurement is 0.25. Moreover, She has been suffering from abdominal pain (burning) for last 5 years. In the year 2010, she was under treatment of Psychiatrist for oppositional Defiant Disorder. She has been also suffering from headache for last 6 years . Sometimes she suffers from constipation and piles also.

Hello,

Thank you for choosing DoctorSpring.

1. This episode of acid consumption is unlikely to cause any damage to fetus. It is not possible to say for 100% surety but most likely this is the case. There are not many reports of fetal ill effects due to side effects. Since the GD scopy is also normal we can assume there was not a significant damage to the mother's health either.

2. She needs to be under the care of Psychiatrist for any emotional instability or worsening mood. The varying hormone levels can set in mood imbalance. The family needs to be very supportive too. Make sure she is taking a Folic Acid supplementation. In later pregnancy the piles can get worsen so increase fiber intake in pregnancy. Avoid staring in the bathroom.

Hope this helps
