My mom was found to have proteusvulagaris from an urine culture report. She is having a burning sensation on her buttocks. She cant even sit for a minute or long. Some times this burning sensation is so severe that she cant even sleep. Other tests we have done are sugar test, cholesterol and urine test, which all resulted normal She got medicine for proteusvulagris and is on the treatment of it. She feels to go for urination at its full urgency and at short intervals. But amount of urine passed is very little. Why all these happens? What to do? Please help.

Thanks for your question and concern. The burning sensation your mother is experiencing might be due to some sciatic nerve irritation. But you say that her conditions haven’t improved even after medication. So, it is strongly advised to get a re-evaluation from a urologist and do lab tests as he suggests. Sometimes, you will have to do an ultrasound checkup for detailed examination and to find out real cause, for getting better treatment. Good luck.
