Rashes in penis after unprotected sex

Resolved question:

Dear Doctor,

I had unprotected sex with my female partner and since then have developed some rashes starting from the penis tip to the penis scrotum. I am also feeling pain at the right side of the scrotum that radiates to groin. I am afraid if I am not suffering from any of the sexually transmitted infections. I really need your help in this regard.

Thanks for your question and concern. As you have mentioned that you are suffering from a penile rash and this indicates towards some sexually transmitted infections that you may have got from your female partner with whom you had sex with or may be from any of your previous partners. The penile rash is usually in the form of sores or some kind of spot on the penis skin that causes a lot of intense itching and pain along with the tenderness. The various sexually transmitted infections such as herpes infection indicate the similar kind of symptoms. Though penile rash is not treated as an emergency case but in case of any delay in seeking the treatment for curing the penile rash can also lead to some serious complications along with causing some permanent damage of scarring the penis. You can also consult your local doctor for more information on various sexually transmitted diseases and their symptoms and consequences so that you become aware of the problem before it gets too late to cure it. You can also call the helpline available for your service all day and night where you can discuss all your problems and issues with the nurse available at the helpline. It is always made sure that the information about your personal problems related to various infections and diseases is not leaked until you want to inform someone in your family, friends or relatives. Good luck.
