Hello, With reference to your query regarding a burnt looking red mark over your face when tried to do waxing whether it is waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by roots and where the growth is hormonally driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle. They also disturb the root, leading to hair growing at strange angles. It can also damage the skin and discolor it. Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin. Even laser also cause burning and discoloration of the skin. Electrolysis is also liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin. You have not mentioned what kind of method you used during waxing. Anyway, if it is causing you discomfort, you can consult your G.P. so that he can have a look at your burnt area and advise you accordingly. Thank you.
