Resolved question:
have a spot that appeared on my thigh, appeared several weeks ago.
iv attached a photo of it, it appeared near the scar of a previous surgery.
is this just a cyst or is it cancerous?
what was the cause of it?

I can understand your concern. I reviewed the picture.
Its a dermatofibroma which is a skin tumour which is benign.
The treatment for it would be excision by your doctor. It may in rare cases turn malignant hence its best to visit your doctor to get it excised. After excision it can be sent to be examined under the microscope.

At present it seems harmless but as I mentioned it could turn malignant in rare cases.
It can be excised in an hour by an experienced doctor. It can be sent for testing.
