Hello,
Thank You for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I can understand your problem. Your symptoms are throat pain, pain on swallowing and tender neck nodes.
You are suffering from acute pharyngitis and you were treated with Cepodem Xp 325 mg which is
cefpodoxime proxetil 200 mg, clavulanic acid 125 mg.
What is your age and weight.
1st line drug or drug of choice for throat infection is amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. So you can
start Tab. Augmentin 625 mg (amoxicillin and clavulanic acid) two times for daily for five days.
You can add Tab. Levocetrizine 5 mg once in night for 5 days.
Tab. Rabeprazole 20 mg once in morning for 5 days.
Tab. Zerodol – P (aceclofenac 100 mg with paracetamol ) two times for three days to reduce
inflammation.
These doses i have written for adult patient with body weight more than 50kg.
Hope this helps,
Feels free to ask further queries.
Best regards

Hello,
Yes, you can start the dose right now. This antibiotic does not show any side effects.
Also, you can take Allegra, but try to restrict it too only 1-2 weeks and not a month.
Regards.
