Treartment for pains in neck after fitting TITANIUM screws.

Resolved question:
I had an operation in july 2008 to have a titanium screw fitted in my neck, since then over the years old patientive had numerous aches and pains in my neck sometimes to the point where i feel sick, is it going to be like this for the rest of my life?

i had a car accident and fractured a bone in my neck
theres no loss of sensation or weakness
i dont have diabetes or high blood pressure

The absence of weakness & loss of sensation is a good thing. It rules out bony injury which might have compressed your nerves.

The aches & pain can be due to muscle weakness .There may be other reasons for that like anemia, vitamin D deficiency, deficiency of vitamin B complex etc.

So you should get yourself evaluated. You need to get tested for the deficiencies mentioned above.

Muscle weakness can be improved with good physiotherapy & deficiency can be treated by taking a balanced diet, green leafy vegetables & fresh fruits. Vitamin D & B complexe supplements can also be taken. For severe pain, I usually prescribe a combination of tramadol with paracetamol.
