Treatment for blood in feces after anal sex.

Resolved question:
Hello Doctor,
My partner is a 28yo male and we're both gay and have been together for nearly 6 years old patientnow. He told me he's been bleeding and he can see it in his feces, after we had anal sex on Wednesday night last week, 10/9/2014. Nearly a week ago. He said the day after, on Thursday afternoon he thought he actually needed to go to the toilet to let the blood out. but he said it's now less blood than the day after we had sex. However, he said he still has blood in his stool. and I'm really worried.

My partner has an anxiety disorder and he's been taking medicine since he was 15 apparently. He's also very scared of doctors because of bad experience with a few of them. And I can't convince him to see a doctor even if I told him I'll go with him. If I keep pushing, he'll just distance himself for a day or two. And I'm really worried I've done damage.

I need to talk to anyone that can give me any idea at least. and i googled and found this website. If it's a matter of life and death, I will have to force him to see a doctor. I understand it is difficult to provide an advise without seeing the patient. but any thoughts/advise will help a lot. Thank you very much.

For some reason I didnt see the past medical history part.  I dont know how to add my tick in the tickbox as well so ill include them here:

my partner smoke, with super hypertension and I'm the only one that calm him down, no diabetes, no allergies, he had knee surgery a couple of years old patientago, we drink but not often - once a month or sometimes once in two months even.  he smokes weed/bong.  I dont as I dont like the feeling it gives me.

My partner also has an unknown skin in-grown hair condition and none of the doctors here know the treatment nor prevention at least.  when hair is trapped and the infection occurs, they become huge like craters for months.  We still have not found any remedy.  Hes been tested/cultured for different staphs many times each time we change doctors but they're always negative.  We also found group of hair under the skin that looked liked tiny roots of plants or small balls of hair.  We reckon theyre under the skin for years old patientand just kept accummulating until he exfoliated them.

Hello.
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
Bleeding after anal sex is not common if done properly with enough foreplay and proper use of lube. However it has already happened in your partner's case and it has been bleeding over a week. It can be due to damage to the anal mucosa during intercourse, and anal mucosa is pretty vascular, hence more prone for bleeding.
You have not mentioned any pain associated in the anal area. That is a good sign. Also the bleeding has reduced and that is another encouraging sign. Ideally i will advise you to get him checked by a general surgeon who can do a per rectal examination and check for traces of bleeding, thereby localizing the spot. But since he may not be comfortable with that, there is no other option than to wait for another 3-4 days by which the bleeding should stop.
I hope your partner is not suffering from constipation? Or has any history of hemorrhoids in his family?
The fact that he smokes and has hypertension also makes the chances of bleeding for persisting longer than usual more. So that's why if you can't take him to a doctor, then he can be at bed rest for the next 3-4 days, make sure he's taking enough dietary fiber so that the stool is soft and also drinks enough water.
Regarding the skin condition, it will be better if you can upload a picture of what you're describing. You can also separately post a specialist query if you feel like, where our panel dermatologist will be able to help you. This current query has been posted under a family physician and hence I am handling it.
Hope this was helpful,
Regards.

Thank you for the advise. I will speak to my partner. There only a few photos I kept on my phone. And they are almost similar.

Hello.
Thank you for sending the images.

Will it be possible for you to send a slightly more zoomed out picture or a clearer picture for the dermatology review?
Let me know,
Regards.
