Treatment for remnants of CHALAZION under eyelid.

Resolved question:
I still have remnants of a chalazion under my left eyelid. Please see attached photo. Antibacterial drops and antibiotics, as well as hot compresses, didn't do much to fix the problem, but when I later went to my dermatologist, he injected it with Cortisone, which caused the lump to eventually scab up and fall off. At this point, all I am doing is taking Doxycycline 1x/day. But as you can see from the photo, there is still redness and very slight swelling under my eye. No pain or irritation, however - just occasional mild itching. What else can I be doing to make this go away once and for all? Thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
Chalazion is blockage of mebomian gland, the best way is get a procedure i.e. Incision & curettage , if no antibiotics work. Since it is not repsonding to Doxy, getting I&D done is the best method available.
Hope this was helpful,
Regards.
