Treatment for shedding lot of hair.ROGAINE.

Resolved question:
I noticed that my hair began to shed a lot toward the end of April. I began using rogaine in early June but noticed that the shedding became even worse after about a month so I stopped using it. I am concerned that I am going to lose all of my hair. Attached is a picture of what the top of my head looks like under bright lights. Should I continue to use the rogaine?

Hello

Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com

I can understand your concern.

You seem to be having hair loss along the parting , which is classical in female pattern alopecia where the hormonal imbalance causes hair loss. The raised androgen levels cause widening of the central parting.

Rogaine can be continued however it's important to first treat the hormonal imbalance if present.

I would recommend that you visit your doctor who can call for blood tests to rule out any hormonal imbalance if present and treat it first and then hair regrowth treatments can be started simultaneously.

Please let me know if you have any queries.

Take care

Regards
