Unable to ejaculate after changing to SERTRALINE for ANXIETY.

Resolved question:
Hi there, a few weeks ago the mental health team changed my medication from mirtazapine to sertraline to help with anxiety, social anxiety and panic attacks, since going from 50mg to 100mg of sertraline i've been unable to ejaculate. I still get an erection and have libido but can not ejaculate. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do/be prescribed to help this? Its making me really depressed and unhappy.Thanks.

Hello,
Thanks for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern
Sertraline like many other antidepression drugs may interfere with sexual function. It may affect ejaculation. Reducing the dose of the drug on advice of your physician or tailoring it by restarting it at minimal dose and gradually increasing it to find a level that produces the desired antidepressant effect without causing sexual dysfunction will help.
Hope it answers your question
