Unable to sit without buttock pain. OSTEOMYELITIS?

Resolved question:
I consulted a Pain Management Physiatrist in early Sept. because after sitting I was having a lot of leg pain and had an epidural for it. When I got up the next morning, I found I was unable to sit down without a lot of tailbone/buttock pain. Two wks following I had an MRI with and without contrast but only minimal edema showing. Since it has not improved she had me have a second MRI last week to see if anything new showed. It did not. My Dr. is completely stumped as to what is going on. The 'pulling' type pain has gone into the whole right buttock and tailbone is sore to the touch. I have to take Miralax every night because if I do not go, the pressure from the bowel causes excruciating pain. . If you saw me walk around, you would not know anything is wrong but when I sit or try to rise from a sitting position, it is another story. I even consulted a Neurosurgeon to look at the MRI for a second opinion, He too could not offer any help on what could be causing this. The Dr. doing the epidural is sure the needle went into an area with ample space. She is next ordering a bone scan to see about Osteomyelitis but all blood tests have come out fine. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
Can you give me mor detailed history- as to how did the pain start? Where exactly in the pain? What is the type of pain? Has it been induced by sports/ weight lifting?
Seeing that the doctor advised you Naproxen, it seems like you have triceps tendinitis. If that is indeed the case, then this pain can last up to a month if it's severe. Sometimes when the drug therapy becomes refractory, the patients are advised physiotherapy and mild stretching exercises.
Has there been no improvement at all? How is the range of motion?
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.
