Hello,

Dear friend,
If you say he is being diagnosed with typhoid, malaria, etc, I won't be able to help you.
Typhoid is not treated with the combination of antibiotics that you have mentioned. It is also not clear as to why antimalarials have been used empirically. Generally, there is a bedside diagnostic test for malaria that gives you result within 5 minutes. Hence, no patient is empirically started on chloroquine.
Please explain the patient's symptomatology in detail. Explaining what problems the patient had in detail would help me analyze the case and reach a diagnosis. Only then will I be able to help you with therapy. Also attach all reports that you have obtained. Simply stating that he tested positive for typhoid is insufficient. Different tests have different accuracies and each detail is important.
Regards
Dr. Saptharishi L G
