Watery diarrhea

Resolved question:
I've currently had diarrhea for 17 days. Only watery diarrhea and some abdominal pain/discomfort, kind of like a gassy you have to go to the bathroom feeling. I can also hear my stomach/intestines making weird gurgling sounds at times, digestion is obviously a bit off. I have had no fever, no headaches, no nausea, no vomiting, my appetite has been normal. Other than the diarrhea and slight stomach pain/gassy feeling, I feel completely fine. No blood or black stool color. Been eating normal small 4 meals a day. I'm a very healthy 24 year old male. I workout 5 times a week and eat very healthy.

I recently went on a trip to Tucson and Las vegas for a week during thanksgiving and ate out 2-3 meals a day for the entire week trip with our friends and family. No one else seems to be sick, but we obviously did not share the same plates, food, untensils, etc that could've been contaminated. I have been to the doctor and they are not sure what it is. They checked for Clostridium difficle and giardia, but both were negative.

I eat a lot of pre-packaged salad, I also read several US news articles that there was a spread of cyclospora infection because of contaminated salad mixes from Mexico. I'm not entirely sure what I have and I'm not a doctor, but I honestly think its a cyclospora or a cryptosporidium infection. Doctor also prescribed me lomotil and I tried immodium, they helped a little, but still had a lot of diarrhea.

What do I do? Can I get an antibiotic prescribed to me or do I just ride it out? It's been 17 days. It seemed like it was getting better maybe last week Friday, then Saturday and Sunday it was pretty bad. I also read that it could seem to get better, then get bad before cyclospora goes away.

Please help! I'm clueless, I've already spent a bunch of money on doctors visits, stool tests, all without medical. I don't mind that either.. but I just want this to be resolved. I want to get back to a normal life and routine, this is dreadful.

Thank you!
