Weird pain in throat, jaw, burning pressure in trachea.

Resolved question:
Hi, Today while sitting at work (desk job) I started to get this weird pain in my throat and jaw.. it was like a burning pressure radiating pain from my trachea to my jawbone/teeth. It wasn't in my throat like where I swallow but more like around the muscles in my neck. It is hard to explain. I also had awful pain in both sides and back of my ribs. It felt like someone was trying to move a baseball through my ribs. It lasted about 10 minutes. Nothing made it feel better.. walking, stretching or just sitting still. I was honestly almost in tears. Just wondering if this is something serious or a fleeting weird occurrence. It happened once before. I woke up with the pain. I assumed it was indigestion. The first time it happened was June 30, 2015 and the second was today, July 25, 2015. Thanks.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
This seems like episodes of reflux disorder, or GERD to be precise, since these were both times one-off occurrences. This is nothing to worry about. You can take a course of Cap. Omeprazole twice daily for 2 weeks, and this will settle down.
Hope this was helpful,
Regards.
