What is small burn like swelling with red area on top of it?

What is this? It started off super small, looked like a burn. It is looking more irritated and the swelling/irritation around it is getting worse. It is about the size of a nickel including the red area around the top of ot.

This is a furuncle which is a bacterial infection. It needs to be treated immediately. You need to take a course of oral antibiotics like azithromycin. Also application of mupirocin cream twice a day for two weeks will be helpful.
