What is this small mole on penis without pain or itch?

Resolved question:
I'm 21 years old and over the past few years(4-5 years) I have noticed my penis is

turning black. I also have one mole like black spot on my penis. I had Unprotected sex

with my girlfriend couple of times one year ago. I haven't had any sexual relationship for

past 12 months. I don't have any pain or itching on my penis. Still I'm worried about the

look of my penis. Is this normal or is there any chance that I have any Sexually

Transmitted disease? I have also attached some pictures. I also have tiny dots (like penile papules) on my penis. I have red circled it in the image.

Hello

Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com.

You do have pearly penile papules. No treatment is required for that.

Regarding the black spot, please let me know since how long do you have it? How did it start? Does it cause any itching? How have you tried to treat it earlier if at all?

Awaiting your reply.

Regards

Thanks for the quick response. The Black spot is there for about 4 years. It does not causes any itching.I don't remember how it started.I haven't tried to treat it before. Do I have something to worry about? Also regarding that the tip of my penis, It has turned black and other part is red as before. It is not so black when erected. Is this normal? Here I've attached pictures that I took before 2 years. Does the condition in picture I took now(The pictures I have sent yesterday) looks same as that before 2 years or is it getting worse?

Hello.
I apologise for the delay in my reply.

The black spot is not normal nor is it normal for the penis to turn black. The black spot could be an acquired melanocytic nevus(mole). Most of these moles remain benign(harmless) throughout the lifetime of a person and require no treatment other than periodic observation as with any mole, for any changes such an sudden increase in size, irregular appearance or change in shape, any pain or discharge/bleeding. These changes can indicate a cancerous change but this is very rare. I am only elaborating for your knowledge and you need not worry.

Its difficult to comment on its progression from the pictures, but it does seem to have grown darker. It is important that a melanoma(tumor) be ruled out in your case just to be on the safer side. So I would recommend that you visit a dermatologist who can physically examine you, do a dermatoscopy and a biopsy if necessary, to confirm the diagnosis and treat it accordingly.

Let me know if I can help you further.

Take care.
