Will stopping YASMIN pill cause delayed periods?

Resolved question:
my period was suposed to come on Sept 6 but now 4 days later still nothing. I was on the pill Yasmin for 2 yrs and on August 1 I stopped taking it and my last period was August 9. I took multiple pregnancy tests before and after September 6 and all was negative. last time I had sex was on August 26 and we used condoms but only 5 mins before ejaculation. I have no pms symptoms and none of the early pregnancy symptoms. last week before my period I was shoving kleenex in my cervix to check for blood (I thought I was a week late) and once there was a tiny bit of pink blood on the kleenex but nothing on my underwear and nothing after that. could this be implantation bleeding? I understand that because I stopped the pill my period might be delayed but I have no pms symptoms indicating that my period will come anytime soon. Whats happening?

Hello
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
It is less likely to be implantation bleeding.
This is because a condom was used, and your last period was on 9th of August, so ovulation around the 26th is less likely.
I think that following pill stoppage, some amount of irregular cycles DO persist.
Considering your last sexual act on 26th August, it is too early to take the test right now.
Wait for a week more and take a test.
Give yourself one cycle to wait and see what happens, assuming that it is because of the pill.
If the same happens next month, have a gynecological check up.
An internal exam, a pelvic scan and basic hormonal levels ( FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin ) should be checked to arrive at the cause of the irregularity.
Take care.
Feel free to discuss further.
