WINDOW PERIODS for CHLAMYDIA, GONORRHEA, STD'S.

Resolved question:
Hi doctor,

I want to get some clarification around window periods for STD testing. It seems every doctor and every website has a different oppinion. I have been tested for all STDs 4 months post my last exposure and all my tests are negative. Does this mean I am conclusively negative for all STDs ??
I guess the main thing I was still concerned about was Hep C? Most websites say 6 months so I'm wondering if I need to get tested again at the 6 month mark?

Would you also be able to outline your recommend window period for testing for the following:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhoea
- Syphilis
- Herpes
- Hep B
- Hep C
- HIV (4th Gen Duo test)

Thanks

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
When you first thought you noticed a lump after the bruising, nothing actually did turn up, right ?
The sono and the mammo were normal.
Next time too the same thing happened.
Can you upload photos of the bruising that you have recently noticed ?
Is it possible that you inadvertently hurt yourself ?
Maybe during rough sex, or a tight / irritant brasserie ?
Also you need to elaborate on the ' mass on left ovary ' .
All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.
Regards.

No possible injury during sex. I wear a good comfortable bra. At first i thought it could have happened after inadvertently hurting myself but not this many times. The mass on the ovary is being watched is flares up every so often. It is being monitored. The last doctor I saw about it told me when I could no longer deal with it or when I was ready they would do the procedure and remove it. At the current time it is not bothering me. That could change tomorrow. I am very scared of another surgery and also I have no health insurance. Also the only history that pertained to me was allergies. It would not let me click on that, I do not consume alchol period. I do not have diabetes. Also I do not smoke.

Hello,
Thank you for your follow up.
Short of having a look, I hope you can understand it is difficult to corelate the bruise.
I would have said - have a sono mammographic evaluation, but with two recent false alarms, that is not prudent.
I understand your concern but in order for me to suggest appropriate further workup and management I would have to know exactly what the bruise appears as.
Could you upload photos please ?
I would like to reassure you regarding 100% confidentiality of any images or lab reports you upload onto this website. Else the photos can be sent to info@doctorspring.com
I look forward to your reply.
