Hello,

Thank you for choosing DoctorSpring.

"Whoosing sensation" is bit non specific term for us MDs. Could please explain it more ? Do you feel pain, bulge, protrusion, bleeding etc while passing stools ? Is there any discomfort ?

Are you having any loose stools or constipation >?

You can reply as a followup.
Thank you

Patient replied :

The sensation is almost as if I can feel the blood pulsing and vibrating through my veins intermittantly I also feel this in the top of my thigh and buttock cheek on the right hand side. This is not painful, no loose stools but is definitely not a sensation that I have experienced before. It feels very internal.

Hello,

Thank you for the clarification.

I would not call this sensation abnormal. This could be the feeling of engorged veins in the lower abdomen or rectum. As the veins low down there are pretty distributable this kind of symptoms can occur.

Over all this feeling is very non specific - By non specific I do not mean that they are not significant, but just that it is NOT suggestive of a single diagnosis.
Unless you have any one or more of the (alarm) symptoms you need not worry.

1. Mass protruding from rectum
2. Bleeding
3. Sever constipation
4. Abdominal pain and/or distension
5. Feeling of incomplete evacuation of bowel.

Take a high fiber diet. Drink plenty of water. The symptoms should resolve by its own in a couple of days.

Thank you
