Alarplasty

Resolved question:
I had an alarplasty and the stitches were removed on day five. Its now day 7 and I'm worried it isn't healing properly. I have a picture. Please help!!!

As is seen in the picture there is only a mild degree of dehiscence in the wound and this should heal up with regular dressings. However, given the thick nature of the alar skin, it was a bit premature to remove the stitches on day 5. Anyway, it is important to apply regular antibiotic ointment to the area on a daily basis so as to ensure the wound heals properly.

Along with this, you can use Steristrips to support the wound margins.
