Baby died from IUGR, TETROLOGY. Can I try again?

Resolved question:
I lost my micro-preemie daughter at 26 wks. she was iugr and had tetrology. she was birthed en caul via c section. her apgars were 2, 2, and 5. she died about an hour after delivery. how long do i have to wait to start trying again? in the hospital, they told me 18 months, but we would like to start a lot sooner. here are the surgeon's notes if that helps. thanks.

"After general anesthesia had been induced, a Pfannenstiel incision was made. The fascia was then incised in a transverse direction and extended out to the lateral margins of the subcutaneous incision. Upper and lower fascial layers were bluntly and sharply dissected off the underlying rectus. The recti were bluntly separated in the midline, the underlying parietal peritoneum exposed, and bluntly entered to create a small opening into the peritoneal cavity. The incision was extended upwards to the upper level of the fascial dissection, downwards to the superior margin of the bladder. A Balfour retractor was placed into the wound and the uterus and its lower segment inspected. There was minimal development of the lower segment and therefore a decision was made to perform a classical cesarean section in order to have enough room to safely deliver this very preterm delivery. Hello

Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com

I can understand your concern.

You seem to be having lichen planus which is a papulosquamous condition.

Its a chronic condition. There is no cause for it. It presents as lesions which are slightly scaly n cause itching.

The treatment to keep it in control would be application of cortisone cream mixed with Mupirocin cream twice a day for ten days. In case the condition doesn't start resolving application of a higher strength steroid cream would be beneficial but you will require a prescription for it.

Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.

Thanks for your advide doc!
I also get an itchy feeling oftenly. Also, I missed to mention to you earlier that I am married. So in that case would you suggest any precautions to be taken during intercourse.
Would also like to know incase anything particualr needs to be followed for maintaining the hygiene of the organ.
Can you suggest me any particualr brand name available for "cortisone cream" and the "Mupirocin cream"?

Hello

Thanks for your reply.

There would be no problem during intercourse. It does not transmit sexually.

For the itching you can take an anti histamine like claritin daily at night.

Brand names for cortisone would be cortaid cream and for Mupirocin cream would be bactroban cream.

Just keep it clean by bathing twice daily.

Take care

Regards.
