Resolved question:
I went in to the doctor about 4 days ago, got some antibiotics and pain meds for an ear inner ear infection, 2 nights ago, I was sleeping on my right side and started hearing a beating noise or knocking as if it was going along with my heart. Is this normal with an ear infection? Normally when I get ear infections, I do not have the beating sound in my ear. I have had some slight chills before this started and I felt them some today but it hasn't been everyday. Is that cause of the infection? Thanks!

I can understand your problem, and will try to help you the best possible
You are suffering from tinnitus( abnormal sound sensation in absent of sound).
This may be due to simple ear wax or ear discharge some time it happens with
perforation of ear drum.
Tinnitus may happen with many other causes including nerve deafness.
So you need examination of ear by local ENT doctor. A hearing test (Audiogram)
will also help in getting the diagnosis.

I think part of the reason as to why I get so many infections is that the seborrheic dermatitis that are on my scalp, behind my ears, outside of my ear and all, and it gets down into my ears, so is that accurate that this dermatitis can cause ear infections? I swim some during the summer too and so I know it may be a combination of things for the recurring ear infections. How can I treat the dermatitis around, in, and behind my ears? I read that I should wash my ears with something containing something like keratezcole (may not spelled that right) with a thin wash rag and if that don't help I can use creams. Is it ok for me to just use creams? How long would I need to use a keratezcole product or creams for it to clear up? I know that I need to use it when I have flair ups. Thanks!

Treatment for sebboric dermatitis is local application of clobetasone + miconazole cream around ear and on pinna two times daily.
Inside the ear you can use clotrimazole ear drops 3drops 3times a day for 5 days.
No need to apply cream inside the ear.
Avoid using ear buds
If itching is there you can take tab. Levocetrizine 5 mg one in night as and when required

I have been dealing with this ear infection for over a week & am taking the last 2 days of antibiotics. I still get some clogging or fullness in my ear. It's seems as it feels to the touch it may be getting sore again or achy. Is it fluid behind something in my ear? How long does it take for the fullness or clogging to go away? Thanks

You feel ear fullness and blocking sensastion for 7 to 10 days. It can be due to
fluid collection which may be due to eustachean tube dysfunction(tube connecting
ear and nose).
To confirm this you need examination by local ENT specialist.
You can start Tab. Levocetrizine 5 mg once in night for 3 week.
it takes almost 3 weeks to get complete symptomatic relief.
