Best times to take Xanax

Ideally You should take your tablet at 6am , 2pm and 10 pm. However you can ajust 1 -2 hours plus /minus to make it a more convenient timing. For example 8.00am, 2.00pm, 10.00pm. You can take other medications with this. (There are NO major interactions with Protonix ,metoprolol,Lozsartan,and Activella) Take it after a meal or after eating something.

Try and maintain the same time daily for your dose. If you have forgotten or missed taking one dose, and it is time to take the next dose, skip the previous dose and take your next dose at the scheduled time.

Do not increase, decrease or stop your dose without consultation with your doctor. Take it as long as your physician has prescribed it for.

I am on blood pressure medication for hypertension, I am not diabetic, have no known allergies,have had several surgeries in the past,most recently in October of 2013 I had a vertebroplasty for a compression fracture of the L1 disc. I had a flare up of gastritis but am being treated by my GI doctor for that. Does the smoking lessen the effect of the xanax?

Yes I have noticed that you are taking Protonix ,metoprolol,Lozsartan,and Activella. You can take Xanax with them. Protonix the anti ulcer medication has to be taken on empty stomach (ideally before going to bed or early moring ). Rest of the medications including Xanax u can take together.

Smoking will not affect Xanax levels in any significant way. BUT you should focus on quitting as you already have a cardiovascular risk factor , that is hypertension. I assume your blood pressure levels are controlled.
