Can ETG be positive after exposure to alcohol from medicine?

Resolved question:
I have an etg urine test tomorrow evening. Today, I was putting medicine on my dog's ears. The medicine is 2 parts alcohol, 1 part vinegar. After dipping a Q-tip into the medicine, I accidentally dripped a single drop of it on my arm. I quickly rubbed it off but I need to make sure that the etg will not be positive.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
The ETG test that you're supposed to take, can only detect ethyl gluoronide, a metabolite which comes from alcohol ingestion. A single drop on your arm, won't show anything on the test. Onl if alcohol is consumed in appreciable quantity, then the test turns positive.
So you have nothing to worry about.
Regards.
