Chances of CERVICAL CANCER with previous normal PAP tests.

Im diabetic on controlled diet.  very seldom drink and if i do will be a glass of red wine

 

im 48yr female. Not been sexually active for 8 years. Was wondering what the risks of getting cervical cancer . i do have my pap tests all have come back ok over the years. I'm starting go through the menopause. just wondering do i need to continue having pap tests as not sexually active.

Your chances of getting cervical cancer are remote, there is nothing ominous in your personal or family history, and you have always had normal Pap tests.
Please continue having the screening however, as it is recommended, even if you are not sexually active in the future.
It is routine surveillance .
