Chances of MISCARRIAGE with faint YOLK, raised HCG.

Resolved question:
I am estimated 6 weeks pregnant. I have had my hcg tested 3 times 774>1485>7888 all between may 6 and may 14. I had a transvaganal ultrasound done today, only a gestational sac and "faint" yoke were scene. Do I have a chance at not miscarrying?

Hello
Thanks for your query at DoctorSpring.com
See, generally a heartbeat is seen in the baby around 6 weeks, but it is possible that there is slightly delayed development in your case.
Let me know a few things first.
Did you always have regular cycles?
When was your last menstrual period?
Is this your first pregnancy?
Also, please upload the ultrasound scan report in detail.
I will then get back to you with my opinion.

All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.

Hello. Normally my periods range from 28 days to 33 days with a average of 32 days. My periods have always been irregular +/- 7 days. My LMP was 3/22/2015. I have one son (healthy). No previous mc. I was not given a copy of the ultrasound report but can get one monday

You should be around 8 weeks now.
But with irregular cycles, yes, you have a chance at not miscarrying , particularly since you are not having pain / spotting / bleeding .
And yes, only a follow up scan will tell you what is the real situation like.
With irregular cycles, scans are often lagging behind in the growth they show.
You should take all proper medications.
Also, take rest, avoid stress and intercourse.
Please revert after getting the scan report.
Take care.
