Cold, cough with GREEN PHELGM. Is it CANCER?

Resolved question:
Hello! Wanted to ask about a weird sensatsion that happened today. I have been struggling with a common cold for a week or little longer. I did not get any fever but had a small cough and sore throat together with plenty of green phlegm. My doctor made a blood test and X-ray of lungs and sinuses all came back fine. Today the phlegm is returning back to white but there is still plenty of it in the morning in the throat. Usually I cough this up and then the sore throat goes away as well. But today was something new: when I wanted to cough it out I felt like there is some piece in front of my throat moving along coughing. Where there is this feeling it also feels to have a throat bit sore. It kind of blocks coughing out phlegm.

What is this? Is it a cancerous sign? I am male 40 and do not smoke. My wife watched my throat and thought that the uvula has swollen up but she is of course not a doctor.

With regards
Kaido

Hello,

Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com

You are suffering from sore throat, cough, foreign body sensation in throat. These are symptoms of throat infection causing inflammation of mucosa including uvula.

You can start following medicines

Amoxicillin 500 mg two times for 5 days.

Tab. Levocetrizine 5 mg one in night for 5 days.

Tab. Rabeprazole 20 mg one in morning for 5 days.

These are not symptoms of cancer or tumor , so you need not to worry about it

Hope it helps,
