Hello,

Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring.

Xeniacal is considered as a safe drug. It will not 'destroy' liver or kidney under normal circumstances. However, Severe liver injury has been reported rarely with the use of this drug. "A US Food and Drug Administration review identified 13 reports of severe liver injury, 12 of which occurred outside of the United States. Over the 10-year period of the review, an estimated 40 million people worldwide used orlistat. A causal relationship has not been established. "

All drugs will have side effects and so does Xeniacal. It is safe to take the medication under the guidance of your Doctor. You will need a vitamin supplementation and need to avoid high fat diet while on this medicaiton.

Hope this helps
