CRAMPS, not responding to pain meds during period.

Resolved question:
I got my period yesterday. Today I have the worst cramps not responding to my normal pain meds I take when I get it. I usually take 400 Advil and I am fine . Not this time. I have horrible abdominal pain and lower back. My dr hasn't gotten back to me yet. I also have a uti being treated by antibiotics. Why is this time so more painful

Hello.
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
When was your last period , is this period different in any way, to suspect a miscarriage or a pregnancy related complication ?
Sometimes menstrual cramps are worsened by stress, late nights, sickness such as your UTI.
You can try doubling the dose of pain medication, and taking a hot water bottle to bed.
You should also get yourself investigated for endometriosis.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further,
Regards.
