Different behaviour with epilepsy attacks. Related to head injury?

Resolved question:
My mother was in a car accident 12 Years ago, her head was heavily injured. After all she seemed fine for many years except she said something strange sometimes, and got very fast angry. She had an epilepsy attack few years ago. Since around that time, she started to send me veeery long e-mails telling stuffs which did not happen. She sometimes become very quiet and seems very sad. I was wondering if her behavior is related to her brain injury 12 years ago?

Hello,
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have noted your mother's symptoms. Epilepsy is quite common after head injury.
Regarding behavioural changes after head injury, they are not as common as epilepsy, but are seen in clinical practice.
In any case, she needs medical treatment for both epilepsy and behavioural changes. An MRI of brain, however, should be done to exclude any unrelated cause for her current symptoms.
I hope it helps.
Best wishes,
