Had unprotected sex with sex worker 3 nights ago, I feel very tired and dizzy. What's my risk for HIV?

Resolved question:

Hello doctor,I have a brief sex encounter with a sex worker, 3 nights ago, We had protected sex, no anal, but vaginal sex (protected), no licking on clitoris and she performed oral sex with condom on. We had some light kisses no tongue.I have not experienced fever, swollen glands, but today I felt very tired and dizzy, thats why i checked the HIV symptoms online and found out that fatigue is one of the early HIV signs. I am really worried, and want your assessment on my HIV risk, also I would like to note that I have a minor heart problem, abnormal heart beat in few occasions. and I work 9 hours a day but I never as tired as today.

Hello,

Firstly, it's important you know that fatigue does not necessarily you have AIDs. Fatigue can be associated with many conditions. It's good you used protective measures when having sex. But, I still advice you to avoid sex with sex workers, there are high chances they have HIV.

You could have excessive fatigue, maybe because you are anemic. That is a high possibility. Check your hemoglobin levels in blood first and check if you are anemic. And as you have also stated that you have a minor heart problem, I suggest you visit cardiologist to check if it hasn't aggravated over time. if there is increased pathology in heart, obviously the heart is not able to pump enough blood required for your body. In other terms less oxygen to tissues or less energy. Have a check on your heart first.

Thank you.
