Hands get puffy, bad INFLAMMATION after alcohol. Cause?

Resolved question:
I rarely drink alcohol. I'm 36. I'm obese and have been most of my life. Had maximum of 25 cigarettes in my life, I never use to drink much but even when I was younger maybe once a week if that. I have noticed when I do drink (in the present and past) I get very bad inflammation it seems. It feels like my hands get puffy so for example say I have a ring on my hand sober, after a couple of drinks, the ring won't be able to come off until the alcohol gets out of my system.

Is this normal?

Overall I am and have been healthy internally. No medical conditions.

Please advise.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
I went through your post about your hands getting puffy after an alcoholic drink.
This is not normal.
This could be probably be an allergic reaction to the alcoholic drink.
You are allergic to some of the chemicals or the preservatives used in the alcoholic drink.
You can get an allergy test or get serum IgE test done to confirm it.
You need to stop drinking alcohol till the tests are done and allergy is confirmed.
I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. How many different allergies tests are there? I also notice if I eat or don't eat I feel full. If I feel hungry I still feel full. Can that be the same cause?

Hi,
There is no need to do all the tests.
Just get the IgE test done.
Quitting alcohol is the best option.
The feeling full feeling may be due to it. But it has other causes as well.
Check your blood glucose level and also get an upper GI endoscopy done.
Regards.
