How long could have my sacral chordoma started?

Thanks for your question. Chordoma is not a commonly seen cancer. It is a rarely seen cancerous primary bone growth (tumour) which is seen occurring along the spinal cord or at the base of it or at the base of skull. It can start at any age. It is commonly seen in adults. Even if they are slow growing, they are difficult to treatand can often become very fatal. It is also difficult to find the age of tumour because of their slow growth. Symptoms or this tumour changes by the location it is formed. This is a spreading type of tumour. So it requires long term care and metastasis should be prevented. Main treatment of this type of tumour is surgical removal of it. This is one of the most difficult surgeries to perform because these tumours are often seen around crucial points of brain or spinal cord. The task of surgery aims at the removal of entire tumour in one piece itself, if possible.
