I got ganglion cyst removed. But it is paining. What to do?

Resolved question:

Dear doctor,

About a year ago, I got a surgical removal of ganglion cyst. But it is still making me suffer with pain and stiffness. I have attended physiotherapy also, after surgery. Still I am not able to do anything with wrist. Yoga and bending of wrist which causes flexible movements of wrist, seems to be too far for me. What to do now?

Thanks for your query. Your current situation need not be related to your previous surgery. I could be so also. It might be due to some scar tissue formation at the area of ganglion removal. Scar tissues are normally formed in such venues, which make movements difficult. Moreover, scar tissues can cause stiffness and pain in wrist. Another possible cause is the development of arthritis, which has a least chance. It is better to consult with an orthopedic surgeon for further examinations.
