Incomplete RBBB

Resolved question:
My husband has just been for a resting ECG that he needs for his racing licence and it's come back with incomplete right bundle branch block, does this need to be checked further and will the doctor sign his race licence form, he's 33 years old

Hello,

Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com.

Right bundle branch is seen a significant number of normal people. If seen in normal patients it doesn't have any significant implications. It may be seen in certain cardiac conditions as well. But since your husband doesn't seem to have any significant history it is unlikely to be the case.

A good clinician wouldn't investigate you further if your clinical examination is normal.

In case you are denied licence you may get a 2D echo done to show that there is no structural cardiac abnormality.

All the best.
