JOINT EFFUSION with NO MENISCAL TEAR in MRI. Treatment?

Resolved question:
I am male, 53, athletic. I had a ski accident. Injured my knee. 5 Weeks ago. Had an MRI. Here's the result:

First, we note the presence of a bone edema on the posterior wall of the external tibial plateau associated with a small, slightly recessed focal fracture of the posterior slope of the external tibial plateau. There is also a slight bone edema on the medial aspect of the lateral femoral condyle associated with a 1/111 grade sprained medial collateral ligament.

Furthermore, no anomaly cruciate ligaments or the lateral collateral ligament. No tear of the medial meniscus or outer-

Moderate joint effusion . No tendon abnormality.

How long should I expect the recovery to last? What is the treatment?

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have read your query with diligence .
It looks from your injury report of MRI that that your injuries are not major one. There is minor fracture of upper part of tibia and inner part at knee where there is grade 1 sprain. All this can be effectively treated conservatively in a cast or splint. You maybe completely recover in 3-4 weeks.Hope this will help you.
With best wishes.
Regards.
