Hello,

Thank you for choosing DoctorSpring.

The symptoms you have mentioned are not highly specific for a diagnosis. There are several possibilities and all need urgent evaluation. You should not delay any further.

The major possibilities are cirrhosis, stomach ulcer, and bleeding disorder. You will require a set of baseline evaluation which should consist of (but not limited to )

1. Complete Blood Count
2. Peripheral Smear
3. Ultrasound abdomen
4. Endoscopy

The stabbing kind of pain could be due to an enlarged stomach or an ulcer. I know this might be overwhelming but I strongly recommend not to delay medical attention. Meanwhile avoid alcohol and spicy irritant foods. You can take an OTC anti ulcer medication like Prilosec once daily (before food ). This should help you to an extend. Hope this helps

Feel free to ask followups.
Thank you
